MPL in MJC

After a very, VERY long hiatus, MPL made a comeback to the school scene today at MJC! :)

Since July 2010, I had to regretfully decline talk invitations as I was in the final trimester of my pregnancy and Isaac (still in my tummy) was getting pretty heavy! After Isaac came into the world, I was pretty much wiped out for the first few months, what with getting used to the sleepless nights, learning to take care of a baby and just coping in general. After that, I've only ventured out for corporate talks, none at schools. UNTIL TODAY!! :)

WHAT A LOVELY WAY BACK TO THE SCHOOL CIRCUIT!!! The talk went really well today, though I worried so much about over-running and boring the students that I ended up cutting too much from my talk and actually finished quite a while ahead of time! :PPPPP

The JC1 students at MJC were a fantastic audience!! Warm, attentive and very encouraging! Can I also say that I think the MJC uniform is lovely? :)

After the talk, some of the students came up to talk to me, some asked if we could take a photo together (if any of you are reading this, please please send me a soft copy of those pics?)

Many of them thanked me for the talk but really, I was the one who was humbled. I LOVED that they liked my talk, that they found it worth their while to take a photo with me (and my crap complexion and crooked eyes), that they actually might bother to come to visit this website... I am just sooOOOOOO happy and glad that they responded positively and I really hope that I have made a difference (however little) in their lives as they go on...

Thank you MJC, for inviting me to speak, and THANK YOU MJC students, for lending me your ears those 40mins today and opening up your hearts.

PS. One of the students asked Liam if he could share a bit of his experience, and Liam gamely obliged, EVEN THOUGH HE WAS TOTALLY CAUGHT OFF-GUARD AND HAD NOTHING PREPARED! :D
