The Blog

Inspiring pic!

I've been tired lately, and sad to say, a bit de-motivated. Today, I came across this and it stiffened my resolve again. Thought I'd share it with you :)

New goal!

I met a truly inspirational guy yesterday. Until now, our short conversation still sticks in my mind. The injury he had sustained outweighs mine soooOOOOO much, but he is already recovered and able to go back to his job!! He shared with us yesterday that during his recovery, he would walk 200times from his room to his balcony EVERYDAY!!! OMG, I'm so humbled. Really, reeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaally humbled. And very ashamed...

I believe in starting slow, so, let's try to do 50 a day!!!

Back after a sickie, then busy hiatus

I've kinda disappeared again from my blog... No, I didn't have another baby (one is ENOUGH for now, thank you very much!). It has been a very hectic and tiring time all round. First, Isaac started running a temperature and coughing etc. It's the first time he's been this sick, so we were kinda caught on the wrong foot, so to speak. Also, hearing his voice change and seeing him in discomfort, yet not being able to really help him...that really killed us...Of course, it didn't help that Liam was sick too... After they were both on the mend, it was my turn.

The Itsy-Bitsy Spider

The other day, I was singing and doing the motions to "The Itsy Bitsy Spider". This is one of Isaac's favourite songs. He usually laughs and waves his arms around "to the rhythm", especially if I exaggerate the motions. It was no different that day. Liam was getting his lunch in the kitchen and he came back to where we were with a smile on his face.

I asked him why he was smiling, and he replied, "Remember just after your coma, when you were so ashamed of your own voice? And how you couldn't and wouldn't speak?"

Fussy Mummy/Baby?

It's time yet again to prepare Isaac's dinner. I know that many people think I'm crazy coz I'm always thinking of what to make Isaac for his meals, that I always try to vary what he gets and how I don't ever make him one batch of food that can be separated into two meals in a day...

My Happy Boy

This is just a cropped section from a mock cover but man, this pic makes my day!! :D

Slow Saturday

I just gave Isaac a teething rusk. He gums and bites everything else he gets his hands on, but this...he just holds and waves around... =_='''

Fun at MBS

We went for a small birthday celebration for Isaac's friend, Gloria today. It was our first time in MBS and the babies really enjoyed themselves! From the moment we arrived, Isaac started exploring. We put him at the window, which gave him lots to look at and kept him really happy!

Gazing down at the road!

We couldn't tear him away!

A cow's family...

A few mornings ago, Liam was showing Isaac a picture of a cow...

Liam: See, Isaac? This is a cow! It goes moooo! His father is cow-peh and his mother is cow-bu!!

Cooking again

I am back in the kitchen again. While I cannot do 100% of the cooking myself, I am standing at the stove, stirring the pot/pan as stuff cooks. The prep is more or less done by my parents' helper while I can only tell her how and what to cut/chop/slice/dice etc. It's a very far cry from what I used to do, but for now, I guess it'll have to do. I used to love cooking cos I found it so therapeutic. Handling produce, cutting vege, smelling different spices and being surrounded by the aromas as I went about sauteeing, stewing, pan-frying and so much more.
